LA County Parks is seeking the next Golf Director to lead and direct the largest municipal golf system in the country. This opportunity is tailored for an adept and passionate golf management professional who is a leader in the golf profession and has a demonstrated experience in golf course management and a demonstrated commitment to advancing equity to lead, shape and innovate for the future of golf recreation for residents and visitors of Los Angeles County.

Selection Requirements
1) Option 1:
a. A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university with specialization in either golf course management, park management, turf management, landscape architecture, horticulture, agronomy, business administration, public administration, or closely related field;

AND

b. Two years of experience supervising personnel engaged in golf course operations.

2) Option 2: Six years of experience as a golf course manager directing golf course operations including golf course maintenance, repair and construction, and scheduling of special events at a recognized public or private golf course facility.

3) Option 3: Two years of experience as an Assistant Golf Director in the County of Los Angeles.

4) All applicants must have a valid California Class “C” driver’s license or ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out essential job-related functions.
